I did cry the spheres floated before my sight
Spheres from the depth of the soul
Driven out with very little effort
As if they waited as soap within a ring
For a child to breathe with joy at a bubbles birth
Then folding in on themselves as if to find a source
Finally letting go to fly where the mood took them
Leaving not only a burst of spray, but with equal abandon
A rainbow, by catching the sun with a fine mist of falling tears
A tear for the beauty of what they had been
Oh tears why? Oh why? Is this just for you?
Who I held so close, to only have you leave?
As you were soap and I but a ring of wire
Holding you against the will of even a joyous child
